Marion Bridge

The Valley Players presents Marion Bridge by Canadian playwright Daniel MacIvor.

Marion Bridge is a touching story about three sisters who reunite at their family home on Cape Breton Island to care for their mother, who is very ill.

Join Agnes, Theresa and Louise - each one with a distinct personality - as they struggle to cope with the situation... and each other. At times very moving, and at other times hilariously funny, the play explores childhood bonds, familial relationships, memories, paradigm shifts and more.

There will be a special musical performance by The Valley Voices, a talented local choir. As well, the Valley Players are proud and pleased to be donating the profits from their 50-50 draws to the Hub Hospice. Students from Almonte District High School will be raising funds for their arts programme by manning the concessions. You will be supporting all of these community volunteers and initiatives and you get a marvellous show in the bargain!

So, come out and see Marion Bridge this November. Shows are Friday the 15th, Saturday the 16th, Thursday the 21st, Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd. All shows are at 8:00 p.m. except for the Sunday matinee on the 17th at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 each and you can pick them up at Mill Street Books (613-256-9090) and at the door.
